Pwy ydym ni?

Who are we?

We are the Digital leaders of Rhos y fedwen Primary School. We have 10 members in our school from Year 2 to Year 6. It is our role to support the use and to further the development of ICT in school. We have chosen this role because we are passionate about ICT and we feel we are able to enthuse others in their learning through the use of digital technologies. We believe we are able to explain new ideas and share new skills with others confidently. Our aim is to develop ambitious, capable learners who can use ICT safely, to learn and communicate.

What we do?

As Digital leaders, our aims are to:

Work with other learners to develop more confident individuals who are ambitious and set themselves high standards when using ICT at school, at home and in the community.
We will show learners how to use different forms of technology to support learning.
We will support learners to be safe online.
Set up equipment in classrooms for teachers.

What have we done so far?

We have created a digital leaders group.
We have completed an audit of ICT resources and equipment in the school.
We have purchased new ipads for the children in the Foundation Phase department.
We have devised an ICT action plan.
We have shared our implementation of our new Times Tables Rock Stars app with the children in our class.
We have a KS2 coding club which runs afterschool every Wednesday.
We have promoted the safe use of the internet through Safer Internet Day activities across the school.
